I recently went to the 9/11 museum and memorial and saw Michael Lomax's name. We both share the same surname and I was intrigued to learn whether we were related and to learn more about his story. Rest in Peace Michael, with honour and respect.

I remember Michael as I shared four precious years, as his classmate, at Didsbury Road Junior School, Stockport, United Kingdom 1971-75. We were aged approximately 6 years to 10 during our time there. Michael was one of the more intelligent members of our year group. When we both progressed in to different Secondary Schools we said our goodbyes. Fond memories always Michael.
RIP.

Michael was a client of mine, and I always enjoyed him because he was so interesting and he challenged me to always do my best. I think of him regularly, including today, and wish he were still on this earth. May peace be with you, Michael.

I visited Ground Zero 12 years ago and found Michael's name, as I was looking for any people who shared the same last name as me. Recently looked up his name to learn more about him.

Mike and I worked closely together at Aon Re Services. For a lot of the projects, he was the idea man and I wrote the code and filled in the pieces.
My heart fell when I heard he was lost in the tragedy. I still carry the memories of him and his joyful spirit as he would talk about his ideas. He will always stay with me.

On this the 13th anniversary, I found myself thinking of Michael. As I drove my son to school, we talked about that fateful day when he was only 3. I told him that it became very real to me when I found out that Michael was killed. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Michael in Boston at Commercial Union Ins Co. He was an intelligent and witty man with a bounce in his step and a smile on his face. I am thankful that I was just a small part of his life, and I will forever remember him.

Ten years later, no one has forgotten. My father worked with you and considered you a friend. We listen to your name every September 11th, and we hope you like the memorial gardens. We miss you.

Hello Mike,
Just wanted to drop you note. It has been over a year and the pain for most of us has remained as deep as it was that day. You were so dedicated to your job. I always admired your intelligence. I hope you give your family the strength to get by each passing day. Aon misses you.
Rest in peace & keep shining up there!

In memory of Michael W. Lomax
We did not know Mike, but my husband is the brother of Cam Sutton who works for Aon. I came across this on the internet and wanted to express our deepest sympathy. I have thought of all the lives lost that day and especially of the ones from my brother-in-laws company. It still hurts deeply. Our deepest deepest sympathy to the family.

I was on an earthquake taskforce team in which Mr. Lomax consulted the state DOI. I still have his business card and I can remember asking him about Aon's offices in the WTC.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

I have known Mike ever since the fall of 1997, when I first started at Aon Capital Markets. He was a very smart man and I enjoyed working with him. He will be missed. My deepest sympathies go out to his wife and family. God bless you all.
