Dear William Fallon,
You seem like you were an amazing person, according to what I read in your story. I cannot express how sad it is that you suffered from a terrorist attack when it should've been just a regular day in the office. When I read the part about your daughter Kayla asking your wife to make your famous pancakes the Saturday after 9/11, I teared up. I hope that one day, when I am older and married that my husband will be at least half the man you were, and at least half the father also. You sounded like you were such an amazing person, and like you'd finally found someway to balance your job and your personal life. Your passing seems like it motivated your daughters to do well, and make sure that they did something you would be proud of. While I'm glad I was able to read your story, I hate what happened in it. My school actually did a balloon release on the day we honored everyone who had passed away in 9/11; the ballons were red, white, and blue. I can honestly say I will never forget your story, and that I will never forget the way it touched my heart.

Billy was a team mate/friend of mine and all the guys who ran Track for Longwood.
I only learned this past September 11th that he was a victim.
On behalf of my brother David and all the Longwood-Track guys/girls, I want to send our love to his family.
And, I am dedicating this sculpture to him: http://longisland.newsday.com/911-anniversary/victims/William-FallonJr.

My family had the opportunity to purchase a flag from our local "Healing Field" on the 10 year anniversary of 9-11. The field held one flag for each person that lost their life on that tragic day. We now display a flag in honor of Bill at our home. His story captivated us and we immediately felt a connection. The tag on the flag says "William Fallon, Age 38 from NY Died at WTC. This year, William Fallon and his family went on a sweeping 16-day trip that emcompassed Grand Teton, Mount Rushmore, Rocky Mountain National Park, "and everyplace in between," Mrs. Fallon said. She and her husband had mapped the trip using an atlas to pick a principal destination, then figured out what other parks were nearby. They got back on Labor Day weekend, and William returned to work at Cantor Fitzgerald." We love the story because we have friends that took that same trip a few years ago with their family, and sadly Tim, the dad, died shortly thereafter. They have many great memories of their time together as I'm sure you do. We will honor Bill and share his story with our friends and he will never be forgotten. Here is a link to the "Healing Field" http://www.mlive.com/news/grand-rapids/index.ssf/2011/09/the_healing_field.html in Cannonsburg, MI. An awesome sight! You are in our prayers from Lowell MI. Mr. Fallon lived across the street from my mother. I have very vivid memories of him happily mowing his lawn during the beautifully sunny days of summer. His love for his wife and daughters was very obvious.
May you rest in peace Mr. Fallon. May God bless your wife and daughters.

It has William Fallon's name on it, and I have been wearing it ever since and never take it off. I am glad to have found this website and my prayers are always with your family. GOd bless.

You were a good friend at Reuters Bill. I will always miss the frequent visits to my cube and the constant jokes and quips. I enjoyed catching up to you on the train to NYC occasionally as well. You always found the humor in most depressing things. I will miss you.
My deepest sympathies to your wife Laura, and your daughters.

We are very sorry for your loss of William. May his sense of taking the path less travelled, his life and love live on in all who love him. May you feel the warmth of his love surround you. Our hearts cry with you in your loss of William.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
