Fallon (nee Bade), Mary Jane, age 92, of Hamburg NY, “Janie” to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of late William Fallon Sr. and sister of late Viola “Dolly” (late Ronald) Reinhard. She is survived by her adoring children; William (Joyce) Fallon Jr and Joyce (Kenneth) Callahan, loving grandchildren Billy (Andrea), Janelle, Fallon (Nate), Kenneth (Makaila), Jordan (Leah) and great-grandchild Myla.
Janie lived a life of faith and devotion to God and her family and friends. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, nieces and nephews deeply and always had time to offer a prayer or a meal. She was known for her unsurpassed banana bread, chocolate chip & sugar cookies and French toast. Janie dedicated her life to service, working on her family farm, helping support her family at age 13 as a housekeeper/cook/nanny after her father passed. An Eden Class of ’51 graduate, cheerleader, and baseball player, she met monthly for breakfast with her classmates throughout their lives. Later in life she worked as a secretary at Westinghouse, was a salesclerk at the Outdoor Store, head cook and manager of the Eden School cafeteria. She served SS. Peter and Paul Church on the Altar and Rosary Society, was a homeroom Mom & chaperone for her children throughout their schooling, she was an advocate for Staley Drive where she lived for over 65 years securing public water & sewer for that neighborhood, and she served the board of elections polling process. She enjoyed puzzles, chocolates and ice cream; and watching her beloved Buffalo Bills, New York Yankees, and Buffalo Sabres. Her most important role was as Wife, Mom and Gramma providing endless selfless love and faith to her family through daily prayers and the rosary. She recently moved to Addison Place in Glastonbury CT to be close to her children and she will be missed dearly.
A Funeral mass will be Tuesday morning March 17, from Saint Columba Church, 328 CT-87 Columbia CT at 10:00 AM. Friends invited. A celebration of life and burial will be held at SS Peter & Paul Church and Cemetery in Hamburg NY upon her return home at a future date.
