Six years later it's still surreal. The guys in your firehouse know what many of us knew who played on a team with you. You are the ultimate teammate. We got to know each other threw football on those championship teams.
While all the crazy news of that day played on every station yesterday, I watched our Championship video, again, against Franchise. I do this every year at this time. It's always good to see the smile we all had on our faces. What a great time we had back then! Those are the memories I choose to keep.

I was a classmate of Teddy at McClancy from 1985-1989. He was a great friend who I fell out of touch with after highschool. When I heard about his death I was devastated. If it weren't for the distance between South Carolina and New York I'd be there to support you. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of Teddy. I hope that his family is holding on. You will forever be in my prayers. I am thankful for the time I spent with Teddy. I would like to help in any way possible. I would also like a mercy band with Teddy's name to where in his honor.

Today is 9-11-02 and for the past year and for all time to come, I have, and will proudly wear a Mercy Band with Edward White's name on it. I sent a letter to his family last year to offer comfort and to simply let you know that he indeed was a hero and that some guy in Texas will never forget him. God Bless you guys.
