Zachary PETRI Obituary
Of Buffalo NY, died unexpectedly from a car accident on March 30, 2023, aged 32. Zak is survived by his parents: William and Deborah Petri, his brothers: Jacob, Joshua, Ulric and Jeremiah, and his sisters: Hannah and Jessica. Zak was born January 29, 1991. He was a talented musician, a generous friend and a caring brother. Zak, at his core, lived the nomadic lifestyle. He was happy to see what he could and go where his soul was called. Zak was vivacious and funny. He enjoyed the little things in life and celebrated the accomplishments of others as much as his own. Throughout his life, Zak has fought many personal battles against drug addiction and mental health. He was not shy to admit those struggles and lived the last few years of life clean and seeking treatment. His family is proud of those accomplishments and will continue to be an advocate for mental health support. We ask you to please consider donating to Mental Health America in memory of Zak.

There are no words that I could say that could possibly be sufficient! The loss of a loved one is very grievous, indeed.
Zachary was and is a precious soul, one that you love and that our Lord Jesus Christ loves deeply. He holds Zachary in His heart and within His presence. This is such a tremendous comfort--that He loves us.
I pray that the strength of your faith in God will be mighty in bringing you joy in the midst of this sorrow. My heart is with you in heaviness and tears.

It's hard for me to imagine what you are going through. I pray for your comfort during this extremely difficult time. My favorite memory of Zachary is when he would come over and hang out with my kids, collecting bugs and snakes. I'll always remember him as a gentle, caring, and passionate person.

I was able to watch Zak grow up from a young child into the man he became. While his time here on earth was short, he was a positive influence on those who knew him. We can rejoice in knowing he is in glory now. Condolences to the family in their time of grief.
