Clyde was the kindest soul. I bought my first home at 20 and was his neighbor. He was the first one to welcome me to the neighborhood and one of the last ones to say goobye when I moved. He would always drive over and check on me and helped me with any tools or anything I might need to borrow. I will miss our chats on the porch and our jokes about doing his yard work. I'm sorry this is a late comment as I didnt know he had passed. He will be sure missed. He made the neighborhood a better place and I feel blessed to have known him for the 10 years I did!

My husband and I met Clyde at Walmart. We only knew him for one day. That day will be on memory etched in our hearts forever. It was a pleasure to get to know him for one day. It was like meeting Jesus in person. To each other immediately. God grace this world when he made Clyde Bailey. Rest in peace play you now with Jesus.

My husband and I only met Clyde one day. It was at the Walmart in cedar rapids Iowa. It was as though we had met Jesus. He took to us right away as we did him. He touched our hearts. One day out of our lives, will never be forgotten. He made an impression on us, and we only knew him one day. Sherry Gray out of Minnesota

I can say that Elder Bailey loved the Lord and had a servant’s heart. He reached people with the Word and good barbecue. I had the pleasure of working alongside him at the Mission Ministry on the SE side of CR. I was his ministry partner and friend. I thank God for the experience.
Rest is now yours to enjoy my friend.$

I worked with Clyde for a while at the Cedar Rapids Post Office; he was always smiling and a joy to be associated with. We were near neighbors too when he moved to 8th Ave SE in Cedar Rapids. I left Cedar Rapids in 1986 and I lost track of him and many others. I hope his wife and family remember him always as a good man, a fine coworker, and a man who made a difference.

He always hollered at me and waved when he saw me walking by. Every time we talked he asked me how my daughter was doing. I will still catch myself looking at the porch to see if he is sitting there. My heart goes out to Judy.
