John Christie Obituary
Born June 5, 1966, in Butler, he was a son of John A. (Hilda) Christie Sr. and Audrey (Convery) Christie.
He was a 1985 graduate of Knoch High School, and a 2013 graduate of Slippery Rock University.
He was employed by Brown Safety Services in Ohio.
He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a volunteer firefighter for Oneida Valley fire department, and the Winfield Fire and Police. He received an Honor of Valor award from the fire department.
Surviving are his children, Courtney Ferguson of Butler, and John A. Christie III of Natrona Heights; his beloved grandchildren; and his siblings, Norma (Ron Kerr) Christie, Kathleen (Daniel) Smith, Linda Christie Smith and David Christie.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, a sister-in-law, and a brother-in-law.
CHRISTIE - Visitation and funeral services are private for John A. Christie Jr., who died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
