Mr. Willie James's Obituary

United States Navy Veteran, Mr. Willie James Brown of 401 16th Street, East, Tifton, Georgia died Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Tift Regional Medical Center in in Tifton, Georgia.

The graveside funeral service, with military honors, will be held Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 5:00 PM at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Mr. Willie James Brown was born June 28, 1946 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.  He was the son of  Mr. Claude Miller and Ms. Ada Mae Brown.

He received his education from the public schools of Crisp County.  After the completion of high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country with honor.

A hard worker, he was employed by Marv-Air of Cordele.  He was a dedicated employee until his retirement.

On Saturday, May 8, 2021, he traded the cares of this life for a life of eternal rest and peace.  His parents, his son, Mr. Stacey Ford, and his sister, Mrs. Georgia Mae Lowe, each precede him in death.

He leaves cherished memories to his wife, Mrs. Annie Brown; his children, Mrs. Ella Williams and Mr.  Rondell Ford both of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. William Ford of Americus, Georgia, and Ms. Alveta Ford of Tifton, Georgia; his beloved grandchildren, to include five devoted grandchildren, Toshyona Ford, Senica and Reginald Troutman, and Jarius Ford all of Tifton, Georgia, Jyana Williams and Joctavius Carter both of Cordele, Georgia, Rondell Ashley, Mya Ford, Marquies Ford, Renzell Ford, Miracle Ford, Emmy Ford, Mia Ford, Shania Ford, and Rashaud Ford; a host of great grandchildren; his nieces and nephew, Ms. Barbara Freeman and Mr. Bobby Kelley both of Cordele, Georgia, and Mrs. Ella Walker Davis of Perry, Georgia; a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
