Not sure what to say?

My condolences on the passing of Pastor Brand. I met Pastor Brand and Sister Brand when he pastored Zion Lutheran Church in San Antonio. The kindest, sweetest man I've ever met. It is because of his compassion and non-judgmental love for people that my family came to know and love the Lord. Pastor Brand planted a seed in my life and I will forever be greatful to him and Sister Brand. My condolences to his family. I know I am late in sending my condolences, but I just found out today. God...

Dale and Phyllis were in the same line dancing class as I was in Leon Valley. Dale was a kind, loving, upbeat person always ready to share his smile. He touched many people in a positive way and he will be terribly missed.

Deepest sympathies to Phyllis and children and family in the loss of Dale — from Pastor Fred and Kathy Krebs. We always appreciated Dale’s friendship to us, and will continue to value yours as well, Phyllis. God’s kingdom shines a little brighter, even as we all grieve the loss of our brother in Christ’s ministry, Dale Brand.

I remember Dale and Phyllis, Michael, Lisa, and Krista, from August 1970.

I was then eleven, when my parents, Arnfeld and Hildur, and younger brother, Rob, and I returned, after four years, to keep serving with the Lutheran churches and schools in Colombia.

The Brand family came from Sogamoso to our Mission house in Bogota, a few times, for meeting family needs, and, as I recall, to the missionary family retreats, in Melgar, January of 1971 and 1972.

Very kind man!

Dale was an intelligent, compassionate, kind, thoughtful, loving person who left anyone who interacted with him feel that the world could be a better place. I will miss Dale greatly, however, he impacted the lives of so many, and in our hearts he will continue to live on. Dale, I wish you peace. I love and miss you.

Dear Phyllis and family,
I just want you to know what a blessing Pastor Dale was to my parents when they were going through some very hard medical struggles. We all appreciated his many hospital visits, prayers, and deep concern for them. May God hold all of you in His loving arms and give you comfort and peace.

We enjoyed Dale as a social and spiritual friend.

He was a loving friend that I will miss talking and playing bunco with.
