Glen Lamar Anglemyer, 85, of Goshen, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 8, 2021, at his home.
He came into this world on Nov. 24, 1935, to parents Elmer and Elsie May (Miller) Anglemyer, and departed from us in the same home he was born in surrounded by family. He married Jeanette Broadbent in 1957 who preceded him in death in 1996.
He served his church, his country and his fellow man through service in the Brethren Volunteer Service in the late 1950s, returning to the family farm where he and "Jan" raised three boys and his prized herd of Holstein cattle. He married Carol Wakeman in 1997 and was instantly blessed with a new set of family members who would add love and caring to his life. Carol would pass from his life in 2020. He is also preceded in death by his sisters Madeline and Opal, brother Keith, and sons Richard Douglas and David.
He is survived by brother Dale Anglemyer, children and stepchildren Glen Jr. (Kay) and Kent (Diane) Anglemyer, Dennis (Gina) Wakeman, Teresa (Paul) Szobody, Vickie (Gard) Norrod, Rebecca Barnes; 32 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held at Wakarusa Missionary Church from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, followed by a celebration of his life and graveside service at Yellow Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to World Vision International.
