Not sure what to say?

Rest easy Shay I miss u and you was a great friend

I taught Ebony in the ninth grade. She was full of smiles and kind to everyone. She was an encouragement even to me, not just other students. She could fill a room with sunshine just by walking into it. Such a little treasure taken way too soon. This world needs more precious Ebonys. May God bless her family, give them strength and somehow lead them to a new joy one day, remembering all the lives she touched for the better. Love you, Sweetie. Will always remember you and your precious...

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Obituary

Ebony's Obituary

Ebony Leshay Crockett  Within the realm of God’s infinite wisdom far beyond our minuscule labyrinth of understanding, our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, Ebony Leshay Crockett, affectionately known as “Shay” departed this life suddenly Friday, June 3, 2022.  Shay was the eldest of four children born November 28, 1977, to the union of the late Lady Kimberlynne D. Crockett and Pastor Larry H. Crockett. Shay was raised in the admonition of the Lord by her parents. She served most of her childhood at Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ in Marked Tree, AR until 2003 when her father founded Living Water Ministries, also in Marked Tree, AR.  Shay loved learning and was quite studious, graduating with honors from Marked Tree High School in 1996.  She matriculated at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from 1996-1998 with a major in Nursing but decided to change her course of study and expand her career options.  As a result, in 2012 she challenged herself and obtained a Registered Dental Assistant Certification from Arkansas Dental Assistant Academy, and a Personal Care Aid Certification from Absolute Care Management, Marked Tree, AR.  Most recently Shay was employed at Amazon in Hornlake, MS for a short period of time where she worked as a Customer Return Processor. Anyone who was fortunate enough to be in the company of Shay can attest to the fact she was smart, independent, responsible, funny, and yes, quite zany or to put it plainly…goofy, which was one of her signature trademarks.  She was a “dog mom” to Tootie, a Shih Tzu who she loved and adored until her passing in January 2022. If Tootie were here and could speak, she would tell us how great her mom was. Shay enjoyed talking on the phone and washing and relaxing her hair at least two to three times every week.  For many this would be a chore, but for Shay it rendered a sense of enjoyment.  She loved cruising the town in her Honda Civic aka "The Red Thang" while listening to various genres of music, and most of all, making others laugh. Her sense of humor will be greatly missed. Those who will forever bask in the joy of Shay’s memory are her father, Larry H. Crockett; two brothers, Larry D. Crockett and Titus Crockett (Vanessa); one sister, Ivory Crockett; three nieces, Qualenta Crockett, Jade Crockett, and Kimberly Crockett; three nephews, Elijah Crockett, Jaylen Bradley, and Kingston Crockett; her paternal grandmother, Eddie Mozell Crockett all from Marked Tree, AR, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
