My sincerest condolences to the Altamirano family. Have nothing but fond memories watching Christopher throw up and seen him later in his teenage years it's been a while but what a great Soul reminded me very much of my brother Tim. It's always a tough loss to lose such a wonderful soul godspeed to you Christopher I'll see you on the other side brother God bless love and prayers to Larry, Barbara and the family, from the Maguire family.

Christopher's Obituary

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Christopher L. Altamirano on May 27th in Reno, NV. Chris was born on July 7th, 1979 at Wheeler Hospital. He attended Gilroy Unified School District where he earned his High School diploma.  

Chris grew up playing and loving sports especially the San Fransico Giants and the New Orleans Saints. Chris always kept a strong faith and love for his family and friends. He was a loyal friend and so generous he would give you his last dollar if you needed it. His smile, laughter and positive outlook will truly be missed.

Chris is survived by his father Larry Altamirano, his mother Barbara Martinez, Stepfather Terry Smith and Stepmother Lynette Barrena, Grandmother Barbara Mendoza, siblings Larissa (Brandon), Marcus (Abra), Cherise, Anthony and Jeffrey (Felicia). As well as many nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Manuel and Susie Martinez, Harry Mendoza, Jesse Altamirano and his Uncle Henry Martinez.

Graveside Services will be Friday June 21, 2024, at 10:00 am Gavilan Hills Memorial Park Gilroy, CA. There will be a gathering for family and friends at 601 Welburn Ave., Gilroy, CA at Noon.

Please feel free to wear your favorite San Francisco Giants attire.
