Not sure what to say?

My condolences and prayers to the Gage Family. Mr. Gage was an amazing person and I enjoyed working with him while he served as a VTA Board of Director. I admired Mr. Gage for his many accomplishments and contributions to the community, committees, and commissions where he served. I appreciated Mr. Gage as a person and friend for his honesty, kindness, and strength as well as his delightful sense of humor. He will always be my favorite VTA Board of Director.

My deepest condolences to the Gage family. I have always admired Mr. Gage for his leadership, his vision and insights, and his genuine care for the VTA employees. He always showed up prepared, was thoughtful, and was very considerate to the Board Office staff. He didn't shy away from difficult conversations and always thought of long-term fiscal sustainability for VTA. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work and learn from him.

Don was one of the good guys...

I will always remember Don fondly and Frank and I mourn his passing. I first met Don at Gilroy Participation PreSchool where we worked side by side doing everything from serving snacks to cleaning toilets. He was the only Dad who signed up—us Moms loved working with him! Frank and I were so humbled and grateful that Don agreed to officiate at our 2005 wedding ceremony in one of the warehouses at El Camino Packing. He made our ceremony very special; and in the years after, when we would see...

We had some good times in high school. Don used to live across the street from my aunt and uncle on Dowdy street. Gonna be missed. My condolences to family.

Our deepest condolences to you, Jeanne, and the rest of the family. Don was a one of a kind friend, a true friend you could always count on and who always watched out for you. He was always there in my IBM career when I started as a manager and helped me through trying personal times. I remember the Dorrington cabin, the trips to Reno, hunting and fishing and the monthly poker nights. He was also my Cupid who introduced me to my wife Cindy. He will be missed by many especially you, but the...

As City Attorney for Gilroy, I worked with Don during his tenure on the Council, as Mayor, and at SCRWA. He was always a pleasure to have as a colleague. He was smart and sensible, and always had the best interests of the City and its residents at heart. One morning we and a few night owl councilmembers even endured the "Ultimate Council Meeting" (till 3:20 a.m.!) together. I was trying desperately to stay awake, but Don with his usual energy and good humor moderated the meeting till its...

DON.. You were a positive influence on so many people and you will be missed. You had boundless energy. An engaging smile. You made it impossible to disagree with you.

God’s loving arms are wrapped around you and yours.
