Barbara Jones Obituary

Departed this life February 9, 2004. Mrs. Barbara Peyton Jones of 3715 North Ave. Retired RN, she is survived by her husband, Melvin S. Jones Sr.; two sons, Melvin S. Jr. and Ronald F. Jones; five grandchildren, Cheronda S., Julian D., Melvin S. III, DeNairo M. and Kevin R. Jones; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, James, Sylvanius and Bernard Peyton; several nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Dr. Gale F. Jones; six sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. Funeral Saturday 11 a.m., St. Paul's Baptist Church, 4247 Creighton Road, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Lance Watson (pastor). Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45 a.m., Saturday. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
