He was born in Manchester and was the son of Demetrios "James" and Aphrodite (Nicolau) Daskalopoulas.
He was raised in Manchester and graduated from Central High School class of 1954 where he excelled in football and track.
He was an auto mechanic who owned and operated the Blue Line Garage in Manchester for 42 years until his retirement in 1999.
Nick loved watching TV. He especially enjoyed sports and watching his favorite teams, the New York Giants, the Red Sox and the Celtics. He also enjoyed collecting antique clocks and toys.
He was also a member of the Ukrainian Club and the Pulaski Club.
IN HIS LIFE: The family include his beloved wife of 52 years, Nancy (Metalios) Daskal of Manchester; two sons, James Daskal and his wife, Lori of Concord and Thomas Daskal and his wife, Stephanie of Manchester; a daughter, Kathy Lee and her fiancée, Greg Bemis of Raymond; two granddaughters, Nicole and Jacqueline Lee; two Godsons, Paul Anagnostos of Massachusetts and Nicholas Bobotas of Texas; a Goddaughter Franceen Ballas Flynn of Bedford and his favorite sister in law, Diane Bobotas of Manchester.
The funeral was held Monday, November 3, 2008 at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Calef Rd., Manchester.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral Building Fund, 650 Hanover St., Manchester, or to the charity of ones choice.

Dear Nancy and family, We were so sorry to learn about Nick from Lorry. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time. We will not be able to attend the service because we just arrived in Florida but will be thinking of you on Monday.
