Herbert Sonier Obituary
He was born in Everett, MA, on November 19, 1928, the son of John and Sarah (Black) Sonier. Herb moved to Bedford, NH in 1958. His service in the US Army included time in Iceland, Korea and as an ROTC instructor at Harvard University. Prior to his retirement, Herb worked as a cabinet maker and then as a parts manager for a local automobile dealership. He then worked for St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Bedford, until his retirement.
Herb is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret (Dalton) Sonier of Bedford; their three children, Michael Sonier, wife Karen, and their children Megan and Tim of Pennsylvania, Anne-Marie Southwell, husband Kyle, and their children Tori and Kalee of Bedford, and Thomas Sonier of Bedford.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Committal prayers followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Monastery of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge St., Manchester, NH, 03104-5495.
