Mr. Robert Vincent Burkhead

Mr. Robert Vincent Burkhead, age 57, of Louisville returned to his Heavenly Father on February 24, 2016. Mr. Burkhead worked as a maintenance mechanic for Henry Vogt and Sypris and attended Little Flock Baptist Church. Among those that preceded him in death include his father, Lee Roy Burkhead; and brother, Michael Burkhead. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 19 years, Sandra Cox Burkhead; stepchildren, Angela Boxwell Porter and Brent Boxwell; step-grandchildren, Tyler Ankeny, Joseph Shofner and Taylor Boxwell; mother, Charlotte Whitworth; brothers, Gary (Marcella) and Steve (Sherry) Burkhead and Josh Breeding; sisters, Kim Downs (Donald), Karen Gaffney (David) and Brooke Breeding; half-sisters, Stephanie Burkhead and Sherry Shafer (Danny). Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Saturday, February 27, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Preston Highway with interment in Tallow Creek Community Cemetery in Campbellsville, KY. Friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 10 am until time of service at Schoppenhorst. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
