Adam K. Lampman

Adam Lampman, 47, of Hampshire, passed away February 29, 2016 at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital due to complications from a car accident on February 20, 2016.Adam was born in Chicago, IL on July 2, 1968. He graduated from Willowbrook High School in 1986. Adam worked as a computer information specialist at Moore Fastening Systems in Carol Stream.In addition to spending time with his family, Adam enjoyed working on building projects around the house. He enjoyed playing video games, collecting comics and was a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. He considered himself a “geek” and loved Sci-Fi shows such as Doctor Who, Firefly and TNG. He tried to convince everyone he met of the superiority of Mac products and loved sharing his knowledge and skills. Adam loved his Dr. Pepper and always carried a box of Gobstoppers or Spree everywhere he went.Adam is lovingly remembered by his wife of 14 years, Lisa (nee Dowdy); his children, Jake, 20, Julianna, 12 and Josh 10; his mother Rita; his brother, Mike (Kathy), nieces and many friends and family. Adam was preceded in death by his father, Charles; his brother, Erik; his uncle Jim; his step-father, Dick as well as his grandparents.Funeral service will be held Saturday 1:30 P.M. March 5, 2016 at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Drive, Sugar Grove, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service.
