Nora Jane Fink
Nora Jane Fink, 80 of Cool Ridge, West Virginia, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, August 22, 2009.
Nora Jane was born June 19, 1929 at Odd, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Ulysses Grant Logan and Claudia Catherine (Brammer) Logan. She was the wife of the late Thomas Earl Fink.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters, Gracie Pearl Vines, Lloyd Logan, Eldridge (Edge) Logan, Ernest (Wid) Logan, Lenora (Shorty) Walker, Calvin (Cab) Logan, and Ruth Ella White.
Those left to cherish her memory and look forward to a glorious reunion include her daughter Patricia Lynn Baldridge and husband J.B. of Danville, Virginia; two sons Randy Thomas Fink and wife Paula Lynn of Cool Ridge, West Virginia and Donnie Grant Fink and his wife Kittye Dawn. One of her greatest pleasures was her grandchildren and great grand-children who include grandchildren: Brian Dwain Baldridge, Douglas Wayne Baldridge, Gloria Ann Priest, Joseph Michael Fink, Kimberly Joy Novak, Aaron Nathaniel Fink, James Lee Salango, II and Katelyn Elizabeth Salango. Great-grandchildren, B.J. Baldridge, Brandon Ellis Baldridge, Brianna Lea Baldridge, Cameron Ellis Priest, Kenna Riley Priest, Alavna Grace Fink, Bethany Lynn Novak and Eli Nathaniel Fink. She is also survived by a special sister Lorena Mae Wallace of Odd, West Virginia. Being from a large family she has been surrounded by loving nieces, nephews all of which have a special place in her life. Many of the staff and residents of Raleigh Center were like family in the last part of her life.
Nora Jane graduated from Stoco High School where she was named Miss Stoco. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She was an active member of the Open Door Church where she served in a number of positions including playing the piano for the choir until her health would not allow. Nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her precious family. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing for the Lord. She also enjoyed reading her bible in the morning at her dining room table.
Because of the two strokes she suffered and a brain tumor she was unable to use a lot of words but she spoke volumes with just a few. “Patty, Randy, Donnie “My Goodness “Going On? and “My My My are but a few she used. One prayer that she prayed many times was “Go Home as she pointed toward heaven; the Lord answered that prayer when he took her home to be with Him and all the loved ones who went before. In the emergency room the Lord spoke two words to a minister who came to comfort. “Their Waiting. When she stepped over the wait was over and she was able to “Go Home.
