Dorothy Wright Chewning, of Roanoke, formerly of Lusbu, Md., went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 3, 2009. She was born in Caroline County on February 11, 1926. Survivors include her three daughters, Carolyn C. Gannon of Roanoke, Brenda Kans, of North Carolina, an Debbie Gavigan, of Maryland; five grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews to whom will cherish her memory. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2009 in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. Burial will follow in Lakewood Cemetery.
