KEVIN MICHAEL RICHMOND Kevin Michael Richmond, 41, of Bradley, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010. Born June 18, 1969 in Beckley, WV; he was the son of Danny and Martha Richmond of Higganum, CT and Nancy and Roger Carter of Daniels, WV. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Stanley Piziak and Jean Campbell. He was a 1987 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and served his country in the US Marine Corp. from 1988 until 1992. He was currently attending Mountain State University. He was an employee of Massey Energy at Progress Coal for 6 years, as a equipment operator. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Susan Williams Richmond; a daughter, Morgan Elizabeth of Beckley; sister, Amy and her husband, Rob Prchal of Haddam, CT; brother, Mike Richmond of Higganum, CT; special aunt and uncle, Sandy and Eddie Crotty of Beckley; maternal grandfather, Cecil Campbell of Beckley; mother and father-in law, Glen and Margaret Williams of Bradley; sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Jeff Ryan of Bradley cousins, Namon Crotty of Huntington, WV, Stacie Layne and husband, David of Beckley; niece, Ashley Ryan of Charleston; nephew, Matthew Ryan of Bradley; paternal grandparents, Ira and Drema Richmond of Beckley, WV and Josephine Richmond of Fayetteville, NC; and his aunt, Vicky and husband, Marv Houghton of Fayetteville, NC. He will be sadly missed by many friends, co-workers, and his miniature Schnauzer, Chloe. Services will be 11:00AM Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Rick Metrick officiating. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by Oak Hill VFW Post#3110. Following the services he will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley beside his grandfather. Kevin Via, Alex Lilly, Jay Childress, Charles Vanatter, Namon Crotty and David Layne will be serving as pallbearers.
