Baughman Marshall W. Baughman, 88, of Jersey Shore, passed away, Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at his residence. He was born March 2, 1923 in Lock Haven, the son of Floyd and Mabel Kooney Baughman. Marshall was a 1941 graduate of Lock Haven High School. He was an U.S. Navy veteran and had served in the South Pacific during WWII and was awarded numerous medals plus the Purple Heart. He served in Alaska and the Aleutian chain during the Korean War. Marshall was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #100 in Lock Haven, the Veteran of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He retired from Sears and had been previously employed by AVCO Lycoming. Marshall was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Neil) Lehman of Jersey Shore and Deborah (Stephen) Muthler of Antes Fort; two stepdaughters, Betty Connor of Avis and Peggy (Bryan) Watson of New Cumberland; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Baughman of Mill Hall and Clifford Baughman of Howard; also several nieces and nephews. Marshal was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Lehman in 2004. Relatives and friends are invited to Marshall’s Life Celebration at 11am Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd. “A Life Celebration Home� 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore with Rev. Ron Savits officiating. A receiving of friends will be from 10 until 11 on Friday. Burial will be in Cedar Hill cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #100 Building Fund, 150 S. Hanna St., Lock Haven, PA 17745.
