Weldon Eli Lewis IV, age 35, entered into rest on Thursday, November 24th, 2011. He fought a courageous battle for twelve and a half years after an auto accident in July of 1999. "JR" as he was known, was born December 19th, 1975 in Lima Peru to Weldon E. Lewis III and Eliana Pons Lewis. He attended Sylvan Hills Elementary and graduated from North Pulaski High School in 1994. JR attended Arkansas State University in Beebe and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he was finishing his last semester before the accident. He had been a purchasing manager for G.C. Evans in Little Rock. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in North Little Rock. JR had many gifts and talents, one of which was playing the guitar. He played everything from Classical to Heavy Metal and loved his music. He enjoyed fishing, skate Boarding, loved buffalo wings and was a handsome ladies man who was never without a smile. JR was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, a black belt in karate and a computer wiz. He is survived by his parents, sisters: Tania Lewis-Garland (Jason) and Eliana Lewis Goodwin (Tim), Nephews: Ricky Lewis who was also JR's Godson, Patrick Goodwin and Niece: Alyssa Goodwin. JR also leaves to cherish his memory, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Weldon E. Lewis Jr. and Evelyn Madge Lewis of Hot Springs and Alfonso Pons Muzzo and Elvira Vargas Pons of Lima Peru. JR is also preceded in death by a special cousin: Anthony Lerz and nephew, Alexander Garland Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28th, 2011 from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. with Funeral service to follow at 1:00 P.M. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel, located at: 7724 Landers Rd. in North Little Rock. Burial will be at Rest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in JR's name to: Friends and Family of Arkansas Health Center, Willow Court or to The Immaculate Conception Church on J.F. K.
