Jimmy Lee Conner, 84, widow of Rex M. Conner, passed away peacefully at the Sandpiper Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Saturday, January 21, 2012 in Charleston, SC. She was born and raised in Indiana and moved to South Carolina in 1994. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa A. Atkinson (Kenneth) of Indianapolis, IN; son, Dr. Brian T. Conner (Connie) of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, Chris A. Delong of Indianapolis, IN, Melissa L. Conner Lahmeyer (Shawn) of Largo, FL and Dr. Bradley Thomas Conner of Philadelphia, PA; soon to be born great-grandson, Dylan Archer Lahmeyer; daughter-law's sister, Ina Ahearn of Charleston, SC; step-granddaughter, Mandy Atkinson and step-great granddaughter, Hannah Lahmeyer as well as many beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews. A celebration of life for Mrs. Conner's family and friends will be held at a later date in Indiana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

When I first started working at SRH Ms. Jimmy was the first person who made me feel at home. I loved listening to her life stories and her love for everyone else. She is and will be missed.
