Dennis Garland Connelly 72, of Hot Springs, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 in his home. He was born August 28, 1940 in Hot Springs to Garland and Macie Caver Connelly. He is predeceased by his parents, Garland and Macie Caver Connelly and daughter, Carol Denise Hanna. Dennis was a Christian man who was full of life, he sang in his church, played guitar, rode horses and motorcycles, and loved to hunt deer and elk. He helped operate the family dairy business as a young man and later was the owner of Connelly Moving and Storage. He attended Hot Springs Baptist Church, he was known for his young spirit and love of life. He enjoyed joking and laughing with his friends and mostly spending time with the love of his life, Peggy Sue. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Sue and three children; two daughters, Susan Henry and husband Alan of Raleigh, NC, Deborah Stowe and husband Jonathan of Plano, TX, and son, Scott Connelly and wife Melissa of Hot Springs; ten grandchildren, Brandon Rowland and wife Julie of Fort Smith, Cameron Rowland and wife Danielle, Chance Rowland, Peyton Connelly, Kristen Connelly of Hot Springs, Audrey Stowe, Anna Stowe, and Evan Stowe of Plano, TX, Abbey Henry and Allison Henry of Raleigh, NC; five great-grandchildren, Bailey Rowland, Riley Rowland, and Karson Rowland of Hot Springs, Emery Rowland and Hanna Rowland of Fort Smith; two sisters, Bernice Livers and Polly Chase and her husband Bill of Hot Springs. Viewing will be Friday, October 26, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Gross Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Hot Springs Baptist Church with Brother Duane White and Brother Gerald Taylor officiating Burial will be at Oakgrove Cemetery in the Sunshine Community. Pallbearers are Brandon Rowland, Cameron Rowland, Chance Rowland, Peyton Connelly, Murrell Sheets, Delmer Buttrum, Dean Stafford, and Tommy Traywick. Honorary pallbearers are the Hot Springs Baptist Church Sunday School Class, the Tuesday morning breakfast prayer group, and the Christian Motorcycle Club "Road Riders for Jesus".
