BIDDLE, CHARLES HENRY Jr. , age 88, of Leonard, died Saturday Nov. 10, 2012 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester. He was born Dec. 28, 1923 in Detroit, the son of Charles and Catherine (nee Heck) Biddle Sr. Charles was a retired electrician and member of Local 58 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He served in WWII as a machine gunner in the 5th Marine Division and fought bravely in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He is survived by four sons and three daughters; Charles III of Centerline, Karen St. Anne of Troy, Judith Kawa of St. Clair Shores, Barbara Brady of Macomb, James of Canton, David of Oxford and Michael of Leonard; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Margarit (nee Kacir) who passed away in 2008. Donations preferred to The Alzheimer's Association. Homegoing arrangements were made by Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, 54880 Van Dyke Avenue, Shelby Township. Memorial Visitation Tuesday 3-9pm with a 7:00pm Memorial Service at the funeral home.
