Thomas E. Levi

Thomas E. Levi, age 89, husband of the late Harriet Levi, passed away on August 25, 2008 at home in Lincoln. Born in Altus, Arkansas, Tom resided in Bismarck, ND, for over 50 years before moving to Lincoln, MA, in 1998 to live with his son Tom and his wife. He enjoyed his 80s attending the Lexington MA Senior Day Center and keeping in touch with friends as they moved around the U.S. and the world. Tom was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in both the northern Africa campaign and in the reconstruction of Italy. He started his own oil and mineral mapping business, Northwest Mapping Company, in Bismarck, ND, which he ran until he retired. Proud of the past, he was always looking forward to the future with a sense of humor - a quality that kept him going later in his life. While he was slowed down by many physical problems, he never complained about them. Always courteous and gracious when meeting those he knew and anyone new, he loved to give insight from his past and offer assistance to someone who needed help. He is survived by his children, Thomas C. Levi and his wife Joyce King of Lincoln, Lise Levi and Michael Griffin of Palatine, IL, and Kathryn Levi of Denver, CO, and two sisters, Monna Ruth Greer of Lubbock, TX and Colleen Kirby of Broken Arrow, OK. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in MacRae-Tunnicliffe's Concord Funeral Home, Belknap & Thoreau Sts., Concord, MA.
