Scott Joseph Swift

Scott Joseph Swift, 47, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away after a courageous fight with cancer. Scott was passionate about St. Petersburg politics, inspiring many around him to let their voices be heard, and he was a devoted friend of Bill W for more than 20 years. Professionally, Scott excelled as a Recruiter and Human Resources Manager, working most recently for TriNet. In addition, he was a talented musician, playing guitar, harmonica, drums and singing for local bands, including "Talk to Mark"; and an accomplished athlete, competing in long distance cycling events and triathlons. Scott is preceded in death by his father, Donald Swift in 1984, and his mother, Dorothy "Doodle" Swift in 2005. He is survived by 2 brothers, Donald M. Swift and Ronald A. Swift, both of St. Petersburg; companion Jennifer Gross, also of St. Petersburg, and many cousins and loved ones. A service to remember Scott will be held in early February, with details to follow.
