Roy Gene Butler

Roy Gene Butler, son of the late George Butler and the late Eunice Butler, was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 28, 1940. He received his formal education in Dermott, Arkansas and graduated from Dermott High School. He also studied at Los Medanos College of Pittsburg, California. Roy was employed with Pacific Gas & Electric. Roy met and later married Gaverail L. Rush and they united in holy matrimony on April 1, 1966 in Las Vegas, NV. This union was blessed with six sons: Jeff, James, Jay, Rodney, Ronald and Ray Butler; and one daughter, Stacy Butler-Smith. Roy Gene Butler departed this life on March 11, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sons: Rodney and Ronald Butler. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons: Jeff (Helen) Butler, James, Jay, and Ray Butler; one daughter, Stacy Butler-Smith; ex-wife, Gaverail Butler; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; Nia A. Ward, Eden Kai, and the unborn child on the way; and a host of other relatives and friends.
