Leonard Stanley Krajicek was born October 15, 1929, to Joseph Frank and Clara Marie (Steyskal) Krajicek in Papillion, Nebraska. Leonard was raised for a short time in Papillion and the he moved with his family to Dunlap Iowa. Leonard attended school and then started his career in farming. Leonard married Sally Miles on October 16, 1950, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dunlap. The couple farmed Sally's family farm and later purchased that farm. In 1991 the couple moved into Dunlap. Leonard was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Leonard loved to work long hours on the farm, raise animals and ride horses. He also enjoyed his John Deere tractors and tinkering on all the farm equipment. Additionally, Leonard and Sally enjoyed dancing. Leonard died on Friday, April 5, 2013, at the Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 83 years, five months, and 21 days. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Krajicek; and grandson, Trevor Krajicek. He is survived by his wife, Sally Krajicek of Dunlap, Iowa; nine children, Ed (Lottie) Krajicek and Jan (Don) Roberts all of Dunlap, Iowa, Mike (Sam) Krajicek of Denison, Iowa, Mary Lou Kline of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Susan (Chuck) Schneider of Omaha, Nebraska, Roberta (Kenny) Mumm of Dunlap, Iowa, Betty (Dan) Soller of Cross Lake, Minnesota, John (Brandi) Krajicek of Denison, Iowa, Rich (Sandy) Krajicek of Dunlap, Iowa; 24 grandchildren; 20+ great grandchildren; two brothers, Ray (Shirley) Krajicek and Donny (Sarah Nelson) Krajicek all of Dunlap, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
