Grace W. Palshaw

Grace W. Palshaw, 97, of Ellington, CT, passed away peacefully Friday, July 5, 2013 in Vernon Manor. Born August 20, 1915 in Torrington, CT, she was a daughter to the late Martin and Mary (Jameson) Wilcox. She was a longtime member of Ellington Congregational Church, and was employed for many years for the Ellington Board of Education. Grace is survived by sons Louis Palshaw and his wife, Alison of Amston; Thomas Palshaw of Ellington; daughter Marla Butts and her husband, Larry of Woodstock; step-daughter Dottie Mascolo of Wethersfield; and grandchildren Hope Sidote and her husband, Darren of Meriden, and Mathew Palshaw of Amston. In addition to parents, she was predeceased by her husband Medos J. Palshaw; and her son Dwight Palshaw. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 7th from 1:00-4:00pm at Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd., Vernon. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 8th at 9:30AM in Ellington Center Cemetery with a funeral service following at 10:00AM in Ellington Congregational Church, 72 Main St., Ellington, CT.
