Alma C. Crane

Mrs. Crane, age 101 years, passed away October 12, 2013. She was born in Bay City on June 21, 1912 to the late Frederick and Anna (Pahnke) Kolb. She was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. On November 9, 1936, she married Harold D. Crane, Sr. and he preceded her in death on April 1, 1981. She is survived by 3 children: Janet K. Bulock (Larry) of Manistee, MI, Gary M. Crane of Bay City, Robert D. Crane (Kathleen) of Muskegon, a step-son, Fred Osborne (Jesse) of Grand Rapids, as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons: Harold D. (Nick) Crane, Jr. and Donald L. Crane, a grandson, Jeffrey Crane, as well as her siblings: Ruth Bedell, Elmer Kolb (her twin brother), Erna Kolb and Florine Easter. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard D. Starr will officiate. Private burial will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
