Dearest Bill, Kaye, and Billy, I was so shocked to see about Betty's passing. All of us truly thought that she would live forever! You know what an integral part of our lives growing up across the street from y'all was. I am so sorry that I could not be at her service as it meant so much to us when you came when my mother passed. Sending you lots of love and hugs, Jeannie, Melinda, and Walt

Dear family of Betty Shugart,
Your humble, gentile, yet strong and driven wife, mother, grandmother, and GREAT grandmother was loved and respected by the employees of Angus Barn. My brother and sister as well as myself were a part of the wait staff from 1982-1987. Mrs. Shugart was our strong and helpful supervisor and loving and understanding "mother" in charge of the dining room at all times.
My family sends their love and prayers to all of you, Betty's family. Missing her is difficult, yet she is now able to serve our Lord face to face and dine with Him in His heavenly kingdom.

Bill and Family,
She was definitely a cornerstone of the Angus Barn' and a big reason for its success. Her standards and devotion to quality, cleanliness, and service were golden. She was such a fixture in the kitchen in her crisp white slacks, white top, and
white apron. She was a hard worker. I can see her now, patting out the crab
cakes. She will be missed and the kitchen and the Angus Barn will never be the same. She will live in the hearts and memories of many. My sympathy to you all.

I never knew Betty but I know Kay and she must have been a wonderful person to have such a terrific daughter. I did get the pleasure of having some of her chocolate chess pie and the angels in heaven are already rejoicing with her sweet treats.
Prayers to the family.

Mr. Bill, my heart is breaking for your loss, your daughter & sons loss of Ms. Betty. She was a wonderful neighbor whom I met while taking my walks down Brentwood Rd.
