Waltham – Mrs. Therese C. (Deneault) Richardson, of Waltham, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014 in Willow Manor Nursing Home in Lowell. She was 87. Born on October 8, 1926 in Waltham she was a daughter of the late Wilfred J. and Lydia (Grenier) Deneault and had been a lifelong resident. Therese was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School. She worked as a telephone operator for AT & T and then later for over 14 years at the former Metropolitan State Hospital before retiring in 1982. In her younger years Therese loved visiting Rockport and later in life enjoyed traveling extensively. She also enjoyed knitting, bingo and being amidst her family. Her husband, Chester A. Richardson, Jr. died June 27, 2013 and she was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph Deneault, Louis Oliver 'Lucky' Deneault and Muriel O'Dowd. Therese leaves her children, Chester A. Richardson, III and his wife, Laurie Doble, of North Attleboro, Joseph W. Richardson, and his wife, Lucy Centola, of Goodyear, Arizona, Cynthia L. Walker and her husband, Richard H. of Avondale, Arizona, Cheryl A. Sanford of Waltham and Jean M. Rogers and her husband, Philip A., of Lowell; twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will honor and remember Therese's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, June 27th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham.
