Scott Hanson Obituary

Scott Hanson, born April 8, 1967, passed away suddenly on August 13, 2014 at the age of 47. The world lost an amazing father, a devoted and loving son, a phenomenal brother and a caring uncle, who was also his nephew's mentor and friend. Scott was a "best friend", not only to his family but to many others. Everyone loved being around him because of his exuberant personality, wit and humor. He was brilliant, generous and had an uncanny ability to help people solve their problems, no matter how big or small. To list his many accomplishments would take a book, but his proudest and most noteworthy accomplishment was how he loved, cared for and cherished his son, Nicholas, who was the light of his life. Scott is survived by his son Nicholas Hanson, his parents Shirley and John Hanson, sister Alisa Kura and husband Steve, nephews Brandon and Brett Kura, grandmother Sally Stanke, step-brother Perry Hanson and his wife Sue, step-sisters Tracy Cimo and Tammy Rowe and her husband Carl, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will forever be loved and missed. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis Chapel in Lakeway.

Lamento muchisimo la perdida de mi tio ,tengo pocos recuerdos que aun los llevo hasta ahora en mi mente ,me entere mucho tiempo despues que fallecio,lamento mucho todo esto,lo quiero,lo estimo,y jamas olvidare como jugabamos y reiamos mucho,tal vez en estos momentos no sirva de nada escribir esto,pero tome la decision de hacerlo porque lo extraño,y me duele su perdida ,quisiera que aun este con nosotros,tengo muchas cosas por compartir con el ,pero se que lo hare en el futuro,porque tanto el como yo tenemos la misma esperanza ,siempre te llavare conmigo.

Scott and I were the absolute best of friends when he worked here in Dallas. We had an unspoken competition to see who could afford the best of, well, everything. For my birthday I purchased a new BMW 540i, and thought I had him in checkmate. A week later we went to dinner in HIS new BMW 740i. Ha, Scott was always a step ahead of me.
I want his dad to know how very much Scott loved him. Today's Father's Day and I know he would be with his dad. And I've never had the pleasure of meeting Scott's son, Nicholas, but you need to know Scott worshiped you. Scott had a lot of things to be proud of, but you, Nicholas, was his greatest treasure in life.
Scott was my dear friend, and I miss him very much.

I never met Scott in person but felt like I knew him from creating his scrapbook from birth to age 33. It was clear that he grew up in a loving home with a childhood filled with wonderful family and friends.
