Stanley Schipper

Stanley Schipper, age 84, of Overisel, a loving and kind husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016. Stanley was a member of Overisel Christian Reformed Church for 61 years, serving as an elder, deacon as well as a cadet counselor for 25 years. He served in the US Army in Korea and worked as a mechanic at Van's Super Service in Zeeland and as a bus mechanic for Hamilton Public Schools. Stanley was preceded in death by his brothers and their spouses, Almon and Laura Schipper, James and Sylvia Schipper. Stanley is survived by his: Wife of 61 years, Kathleen Children Randy and Bev Schipper of Hamilton Barb and Mick Venema of Kalamazoo Gary and Sharon Schipper of Hudsonville Kevin and Joellyn Schipper of Allegan Grandchildren Andy and Jodi Schipper, Katie Schipper, Brian, Tracey, Stacey and Andrea Venema, Ross, Nathan and Trenton Schipper, Stephany and Kevin Houseman, Philip Schipper Great-grandchildren Noah Schipper, Faith Schipper and Hannah Houseman In-Laws Delvin and Tena Lankheet Thelma Clark Perry Wilcox Marilyn Scholten Elaine and Bill Cameron Earl and Gayle Lankheet Funeral services with Military Honors are planned for 1:00pm Thursday, April 14, at Overisel Christian Reformed Church, 4738 142nd Ave, Overisel, with Rev. Steve Mulder officiating. Burial will be in Overisel Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 5-8pm Wednesday, April 13, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S State St., Zeeland.
