Bobbie "Granny" Tessiner

Bobbie "Granny" Tessiner, age 69, of Mooresboro, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at her residence. Born July 10, 1946 in Cherokee County, SC, she was a daughter to the late Carl Richards and Callie Scates Richards. She was a homemaker and a member of Goodes Creek Baptist Church. Bobbie enjoyed boat riding, drawing and especially loved spending time with her family. She loved everybody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Miles Tessiner; three children, Rebecca Tessiner, Donna Kay Hudson, Millard Wayne Tessiner; one grandchild, Michael Harold Tessiner, Jr; two brothers, Gene Richards and Howard Richards; three sisters, Louise Richards, Ola Pelzer and Brenda Smith. Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Powell and husband, Davie of Mooresboro; two sons, Tommy Tessiner of Forest City and Michael Tessiner of Shelby; brother, Gary Richards and wife, Lynn of Blacksburg, SC; two sisters, Florence Smith and Sandra Richards both of Gaffney. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Michelle Edwards, Josh Tessiner, Steven Edwards, Nick Shaw, Kristi Sumner (Sam), Eric Tessiner, Tyler Tessiner, Stephanie Hoyle, Debra Hoyle and Shane Powell; twelve great-grandchildren, Shana Hoyle, Stephen Hoyle, Zach Powell, Mackenzie Powell, John McAbee, Brandon Hill, Buffy Hill, Taylor Blanton, Bryson Sumner, Skylor Edwards, Mackenzie Tessiner and Kaylee Sumner. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Goodes Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Chad Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the church.
