Kathy and I were so saddened to hear of Brother Greg's passing. He was a gentle giant in the faith who loved people into the Kingdom of God. He was papa not only to his own children but also so many through his and your work, Jeanne, at Florida Baptist Children's home. Brother Greg was a man of many talents, preaching, teaching, musical, etc. and he used them all for the glory of God. He brought such joy and laughter when you were around him. Brother Greg was to me a pastor's pastor who always encouraged and supported my efforts in the ministry. He rightly divided the Word of God and enjoyed any opportunity God will grant him to fill the pulpit. Our paths crossed several times through the years going back to the first we met at Thomasville Road Baptist where we attended the same Sunday school class. I recall with much gratitude when Pastor Greg allowed me to lead a Sunday evening Bible Study on the Prayer of Jabez when he pastored Southside Baptist Church in Perry, FL. Again, our paths crossed for a time when I worked at the Florida Baptist Children's Home in Tallahassee, FL. There my eyes were truly opened more deeply to Greg's and your love for the children placed under your care. Jeanne, I know you will rest in the resurrection hope as you face days ahead. Please be assured of our love and prayers for you. The Good News is that our paths will once again cross. This time it will be in heaven where there will be no more sad departures or separation.

Jeanne,

We miss you and are so very sorry to hear about Greg! He was always wonderful when teaching our Sunday School class. I looked forward to his lessons.

" Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." Ps. 116:15

Together we can look forward to God's promise of Heaven - for all who believe and accept JESUS as Savior.

We love you, our sister in Christ!

Jeanne and family I am sorry I was not able to come to receiving of friends last evening. I wanted you to know the Moore Family (Jimmy. Lucille, Lisa, Angie and Cindy) from Spindale loved Greg so much. During the time he was youth minister at Spencer he had a great influence on the lives of not only my children but also on Jimmy and myself. He was always a happy fun loving person. God took home one of the best angels on earth. We still talk about that summer with Greg and also of the two of you and Kevin when he was just a little fellow and Greg would bring him by to see us. May God bless and comfort you in the days ahead. The precious memories you have made together and with God's arms around you will get you through the days ahead. We love you and will be praying for you. Lucille Moore

Greg was a wonderful, loving man of God who is loved and adored by many. The Lord worked through him to help save the lives of many people - especially, but not only, children - spiritually, emotionally, and physically . What fellowship he is having with Jesus! There is no doubt that he has already heard, "Well, done, good and faithful servant"! Going to Ruby Tuesdays will never be the same for us. We will miss Greg's wisdom and good humor. Our love and prayers continue for Jeanne and the family at this bittersweet time of profound loss. Love you guys! With our love, Barbara and John Corven, Tallahassee, FL

I became Greg's aunt by marriage in 1977. Although we weren't together often, I know that a bond was there between us. I am so thankful for my visit with him just last Sunday. Thoughts and prayers are with Jeanne and the children but I know your faith is strong and will bring you through this trying time.

Literally grew up with Greg, across the street, so many memories that I'll have with me always. In adulthood we went our separate ways, but was fortunate to cross paths many times, and always stayed in touch. To the family, so very sorry for your loss, our loss.

Too soon gone. I was fortunate to re connect with my cousin Greg at Christmas. It is obvious that he was loved by all that knew him and that he put a lot of kids on the right path. He was only 8 when I went away to college. I remember how tough he was to hang with us older cousins. Ron and Peg Campbell
