Dolores Aube

DOLORES E. AUBE (nee Ernst) aged 90 years, beloved wife for 53 years to the late Lucien A., Ph.D., dearest mother of Larry, Mary Elizabeth (husband Yves Frenette), Yvonne M., M.D., and Edward (wife Pamela), loving grandmother of Marc-David (companion Caroline Belanger), Gabriel and Thomas Aube-Frenette, and Michael Aube, great-grandmother of Aurelle Belanger-Frenette, cherished sister of the late Marjorie E. Ernst and Laurence Ernst. In lieu of flowers, contributions suggested to Catholic Charities, 7911 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, OH 44102. Dolores was a 45 year resident of University Heights, and an active member of Gesu Catholic Church. She was a graduate of East Aurora High School and Mercyhurst University in Erie PA. She worked as a medical technologist at both Huron Rd. Hospital and Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland. At Gesu, she was active with the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) and served as a Eucharistic Minister. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, reading and sewing. She was a woman who was always helping others in need. She was always active and excelled at multitasking. When she could be involved, she participated in activities at Gesu Parish, and made many friends over the years. Her late husband, Lucien A. Aube, Ph.D. was a French professor at John Carroll University, and Dolores was active in the John Carroll University Wives Book Club. Lucien died in May of 2007. Relatives and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Gesu Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Interment following in Lake View Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Dolores at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.)
