Ken and Ila Rose will be missed in our neighborhood. They were wonderful neighbors and the salt of the earth. Ken was the example of fitness and had the best Christmas parties. Who else makes a dance floor with a crystal chandelier in his garage for a party?? And the most perfectly lighted triangular tree in the front of his home. We have fond memories of Fourth of July parades seeing Ken dressed on stilts in his Uncle Sam outfit waving to the parade of children and golf carts in the neighborhood. He was a fine American, father, husband, patriot, neighbor, athlete, leader and veteran. He's happy now with Ila Rose. A great neighbor at Hobcaw Creek Plantation will be missed. We'll ensure Ila's tree will be cared for in his yard.

My thoughts and prayers are with this special man's family. I worked for Mr. Walls at Cheat Lake and have many great memories from those years. Mr Walls installed a positive work ethic in his teachers but made the job fun too. The years with Mr. Walls will be cherished by me as they made a positive impact on the rest of my teaching career. May you be at peace dear Mr. Walls.

I remember when Mr. Walls and some of his teaching staff came to CLJH. We were nervous about the change. He and his staff made a huge impact on the students and community. He was a person to look up to. I had an opportunity to come in contact with him again when my children went to the school as well. He continued to be a true leader and someone to respect. He made a difference in so many young people's lives.

Mr. Walls was very near and dear to my heart. He was the one who hired me when I first came to Morgantown. What a great mentor and friend. Last time he came to Morgantown we had a surprise faculty meeting and his message to us on that day will be forever in my mind. I have lost a member of the family. There has been no other like him. I know he is now running the race in heaven. He will be missed greatly. I wish I could give him one more hug. Instead, I send hugs and condolences to his family at this time. May Gods peace be with you.

Best principal ever. Mr. Walls was like the firm grandfather to all of us. I never felt intimidated by him, but always felt he actually cared for each and every one of us. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on through all who were his CLJH students during the "Mr. Walls era".

I remember Mr. Walls as one of the best teachers I had as a student at Waitman Barbe Junior High. He contributed greatly to my lifelong love for learning. He encouraged me to go to college. He was so supportive of that dream that he helped me find a loan, and he even co-signed that loan for me! I have never forgotten that act of generosity. He was an exceptional teacher and caring man.

So very sorry for your loss. I remember Mr. Walls at Cheat Lake Jr. High. A very stern but fair principal. He was very supportive of the choral musicals that the school would put on every year. I'm certain he will be missed by many. Wish my deepest condolences to the family.

Mr. Walls was a wonderful teacher at Waitman Barbe Jr. High even after he moved on to Cheat Lake he would still remember the students from WB if he saw us out he would always speak to us and always remembered our names. He not only taught Science but also taught us to be better people. Rest in Peace Mr. Walls and thank you for all you did for us.
