It has been four years since your earthly physical departure leaving your wings of spirituality in and on so many souls. I am so happy for you as you are at rest finally resting in God, mom, and your many earthly buddies presence. Love you Dad and just keep smiling, laughing and enjoying your favorite oxtails saving some for me when I get there one day.

Grandfather, as I think back to all the conversations, laughs, and smiles I feel the abundance of loved you always showed me. You were one of the strongest and most gently man I have ever known. I could always count on you. I'm heartbroken and lost at your passing. I will continue to smile because, that's exactly what you would want for me. You will forever be missed and loved. -Boo

Sonja, I have often popped by your home asking "Is Sonja home?" Your father always greeted me with a smile and would say "Come on in, Pam. I think she's upstairs." I am so sorry that I will not be able to say hello to Mr. Sampson the next time I visit you. I know that you and Gwen and Mrs. Sampson will miss him terribly. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dad, I have so many memories locked of you in my mind. The many times you rose at six in the morning to go to your first job at Sears , came home at three, rested for three hours and went to your second job returning home at ten at night. Silly me pouting about having to clean your tub or do extra chores for you as this young growing child and teenager of yours. You though just smiling away. God though saw my innocence and matured you and me both as we bonded more in my care giving services for you. So many roads we travelled and great they were. It was an honor to be your baby girl; it was an honor to be your live in assistance; it is an honor to follow your steps of courage for the voiceless and marginalized. I love you so much and when we meet again I will hug you so tight, kiss your cheek and laugh with the greatest man and father to ever touch my heart and soul!!!
