Joseph S. Balogh

Balogh- Joseph S. Balogh, age 70, of Bridgeport, passed away on August 24, 2009 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. The son of the late Joseph and Veronica Fabula Balogh, Joseph had been a longtime resident of the Black Rock section of the city. He worked for the City of Bridgeport in the City Hall Maintenance Department, as well as the Parks Department before his retirement. He also was employed part time at the Ritz Restaurant. Often helping others, he was generous with his time and "handy man" talents. Joseph made many friends at St. Ann Church, the Norton Club, and Northbridge Healthcare Center, where he more recently resided. He will be fondly remembered by his family including his brother, Robert Balogh, and his wife, Joan, of Trumbull; two nephews, Robert C. Balogh, of San Antonio, TX. and Gary W. Balogh, of Naugatuck; several cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday 1030 AM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center, and 11 AM in St. Ann's Church. His interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may greet his family on Friday from 9 to 1030 AM.
