My Mom was the strongest most resilient woman I have ever known.
I feel very privileged to have cared for her in her last years with us, even though sometimes were difficult, she was always glad to see me and always wanted to talk about anything. I learned a great deal from and about my Mom in those years and her passing has left an empty spot in my heart that will be with me the rest of my days.
The world is a much poorer place without her and I am a much better man because of her.
I love you Mom.

I have been a friend of Alice's daughter-in-law, Susan Irvine, since her daughter Jamie & my son Stephen met in kindergarten in 1989. It has been by privilege that
this friendship has lasted through so many of life's trials. Alice was a constant figure at Susan's house when she and her husband were in Florida. We have enjoyed time together at her condo in Dunedin. She was a gracious lady and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
