Kevin Patrick Maher

Kevin P. Maher was born in St. Louis, MO. to Thomas F. and Charlene (Erwin) Maher on Sept 11, 1958, and passed away in Spokane on Sept. 1, 2016. A private family memorial service was held to honor Kevin and celebrate his life on September 5th. Kevin moved to Spokane with the family in 1964, where he immediately fell in love with the abundant outdoor recreational opportunities available here, and of which he enjoyed throughout his life.

Kevin was an avid skier, both snow, and water, and was heralded by friends and family alike for his extreme skiing and acrobatic abilities. He was also an avid golfer and a very loyal Cougar fan. Kevin was a fantastic cook and loved nothing more than hosting dinner parties for his friends and family. We will all miss his big booming laugh, sense of humor and silly pranks. Kevin graduated from Gonzaga Preparatory School in 1977, and later attended Washington State University where he studied Hotel Restaurant Management and began his professional career as a restaurant manager for the Chapter 11 chain of steakhouses in Spokane and Seattle. His passion for real estate led him to a career change to brokerage and management where he worked at The Maher Company, a commercial real estate brokerage, and development company in Spokane and Coeur d' Alene, ID founded by his father. Kevin later founded a property management company in Spokane of which he was a partner.

Kevin is survived by his daughter, Lindsay Maher, two sisters, Lauri of Sun Valley, ID; Erin of Seattle, WA, brother, Michael of Seattle and his wife, Cresey, and son Joseph. Kevin is also survived by his dear girlfriend, Mary Rambo, her daughters Nikki Racicot and Sarah Mayer, and her grandchildren Kennedy, Aspen, Queenie, and Stone.
