Vickie E Rigsby

Vickie E. Rigsby, 58, of Fletcher, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC. A native of Franklin, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Milas Andrew and Barbara Emory Donaldson. Vickie was a very kind and caring person who worked as a CNA for a number of years and loved taking care of others in their time of need. She was a caring mother, sister, friend and neighbor. She had a wonderful sense of humor and even in her time of illness, she loved to make others laugh. Vickie is survived by her children: Cynthia Zaludek and husband Duane of Brevard, Misty Inman of Weaverville and Jeff Kilpatrick and wife Jennifer of Weaverville; Sisters Patty Lawing of Forest City, NC and Jennifer Graham of Huntersville, NC; and ten grandchildren which she thought the world of. A graveside service for Vickie Rigsby will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory with Rev. Butch Skerritt officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Elizabeth House, 581 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731. Vickie was a strong advocate for hospice and would want to be able to give something back to those who generously cared for her and so many others.
