Rene Philippart Obituary

Published by Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home - Heavener on Nov. 6, 2016.

Rene was born on November 28, 1937 and passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Rene was a resident of Poteau, Oklahoma at the time of his passing. He attended and graduated from Bellingham High School in Washington two years later. He attended college and graduated with a BS in Education from Western Washington State University. He was married to Phyllis. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener Oklahoma. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Carl Albert State College for business student scholarships. CASC Attention Mandy Roberts 1507 South McKenna Poteau OK 74953.

I just learned of his passing. I was one of his elementary students at Campus School in Bellingham. When I moved on to Jr. High, I took more French and we were to pick a French name. My name of course was Rene. I'm sorry for your loss. He holds a special place in my memories.
