Truly sorry for your loss. I am so sad to come across this (albeit a little late). Stephen was our landlord on Floral St in Newton for 5 years. It was our first apartment as a couple and we were engaged and married while living there. Steve will always hold a special place in our hearts.

A small world story about Stephen. My name is John Connors. I first heard of Stephen in Little League. His name was on a roster with mine, but we ended up on separate teams and I never met him on the field. A few years later we were scheduled for the same Sunday school class but he and I were never in class at the same time. I went off to a private high school, so we missed the opportunity to meet at Needham High but Stephen and I had mutual friends there. We both went to UMass, Amherst, one of our mutual Needham friends asked me if I had met him because he was in the dorm across the street. We never met in Amherst. Turns out we both joined the Peace Corps. I went to Togo, the country next door to Benin. My village was not far from the Benin border. One night I was in Lama Kara, a city on the main north south highway and about an hour's drive from my village. I was at a bar and about to leave, when I heard that a group of Volunteers from Benin was on their way to the bar. So I stayed to greet them. Turns out one of the Benin Volunteers was Stephen Connors from Needham. We had a few beers, talked about how we had known about each other for years, how many mutual friends we had, and how many chances to meet we had had in our 22-23 years on Earth. Two guys from Needham and UMass, finally meet half way around the world in Africa. I am happy to have met him. Sorry for your loss to all of you who had more time to spend with him. John Connors, Needham, MA, UMass Amherst, Peace Corps Togo, and for many years since Norwood, MA.

We'll never forget all your cool stuff in the barn in Newton, some crazy parties in that same barn, and you always jetting off somewhere for work. We'll think of you as energy now, floating through all the solar and wind farms you made happen.
