Michael J. Westerbeck

MICHAEL JOSEPH WESTERBECK age 60 Lost his battle with cancer on December 7, 2016 in Springfield, Tennessee. He was born on June 20, 1956 in St. Marys, Ohio to the late Paul and Rita (Grilliot) Westerbeck. He is survived by his children Morgan and Mitchell Westerbeck, both of Springfield, TN, his siblings, Karen Diffie of Las Vegas, Susan (Ron) Snyder of Minster, Nancy Muether of Celina, Rebecca (Ned) Vordermark of New Knoxville, Mary (Jerry) Smith of New Knoxville, Teresa (David) Legg of Saginaw, MI, Donna (Bill) Woehrmyer of New Bremen, Richard (Karen) Westerbeck of Minster, and Ralph (Judy) Westerbeck of Sodus, NY. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother James Westerbeck. Mike was a devoted father and family man. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and his simple way of life. He enjoyed life to the fullest, living on his farm, raising goats and chickens, hunting and fishing. Mike enjoyed his career as a carpenter and putting the final touches on homes that he built. A celebration of life reception will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 4 until 8 P.M. at the home of Bill and Donna Woehrmyer located at 233 E. Monroe St., New Bremen.
