LeRoy "Heath" Allison

LeRoy "Heath" Allison, of Pisgah Forest, NC went to his heavenly home Saturday, January 21, 2017. He was a son of the late Dorse and Sadie Allison. He was preceded in death by a sister; Agnes Jones. Heath was born June 9, 1933 in Cedar Mountain, NC and was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He is a member of Carr's Hill Baptist Church where he also served as a Deacon and retired from Ecusta. He enjoyed God's creations including his birds and white squirrels that he loved to feed. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was a man of many talents and most of all enjoyed doing for others. He loved his family and friends and had such a sweet spirit. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Lou Mann Allison, two daughters; Cindy Shelton and husband Jimmy of Pisgah Forest, NC and Judy Redden and husband Edwin of Tazewell, TN, one son; Danny Allison and wife Sandy of Pisgah Forest, NC, three grandchildren; Kimberly Corona of Brevard, David Heath Shelton of Brevard, NC and Mandy Seal of Tazewell, TN, four great grandchildren, Adrian Shelton, Gloria Corona, Carmen Lopez, Maylyn Seal and a nephew , Sam Hilemon, who was more like a brother, and numerous special friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Carr's Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Shane Hardesty, Rev. Chris Morgan and Rev. Bobby Scroggs officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. Military Rites will be conducted by the Transylvania County Honor Guard. There will be a lunch served following the service, in the fellowship hall.
