Remembering a wonderful coworker with a brilliant mind and a wry sense of humor. One time, while walking down our mutual hallway but unaware that Tom was a few steps behind me, I reached over and straightened a picture frame on the wall to my right. Tom's voice, barely suppressing a chuckle, said, "Things like that really bother you, don't they?" Thereafter, I encountered more pictures askew on the wall than ever before, but he never admitted a thing -- just grinned whenever I mentioned that I'd had to straightened another one. Tom is a treasure who will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Tom. I'll see you on the other side.

Tom always had a fun story and a smile on the most challenging days at work. He helped me keep things in perspective more than once. So very sorry for your loss.

My heart is broken. I have known your family for over 20 years now, since the day Connie and I became Daisy Girl Scout Leaders together <3, and you all have become my family down here in Virginia. I truly do love all of you like my own! I am filled with such sadness right now, but I know that God holds all of you in His hands, and I will hold all of you in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this together. Know that there are places in your heart where you can go for comfort and only the great Comforter, God, is there. Waiting to shelter you in sadness, strengthening you for the journey and carrying you when need be. Let Him be there for you as you deal with this significant loss.
George said to tell you that when he worked with you dad, he was deeply impressed with your dad's incredible intelligence, kindness and his personal generosity. A one-of-a-kind great person!
